Keep in mind that this guide also works for those who have Windows 10 and not just Windows 11 users, so let's see what those handy shortcuts are...

Method 1: How to Take Screenshot on Windows 11 PC

Snipping Tool app is the best and easiest way to take screenshot of anything. All you have to do is type snipping on the search bar and your computer will show the app. On Windows 11, you'll see a search icon at the bottom of the main Windows screen where you have to type ping.

  • Step 1: Open the Snipping Tool app, just click on "NEW".
  • Step 2: Then you can take a screenshot of anything.

Note: The app offers a total of three modes. It supports "freeform" snip, so you can take screenshots in any shape or size. It also has Window Snip, which offers full screen screenshots. The third one is Rectangle Snip, which is very self-explanatory.

  • Step 3: After clicking, you will be able to preview Screenshot. The app gives you the option to add highlights. If you want better editing tools, you'll find the colored icon of the "Edit with Paint 3D" app on the top left corner of the screen. It is visible in the Snipping Tool app, so it can quickly capture any screenshot. Makes editing easy.

Note: Keep in mind that the app does not allow you to take multiple screenshots, so you will have to repeat the same process over and over.

  • Step 4: Once edited, you can press Ctrl + S to save it anywhere on your computer. Alternatively, users can also go to the file.

Method 2: How to Take a Screenshot on a Computer

This is the best option as you get a free hand with multiple modes. One can easily use the PrintScreen Key, which is labeled as Print Scrn.

  • Step 1: After opening the site of which you want to take screenshot, you have to press Print Scrn and Ctrl keys simultaneously.
  • Step 2: The file itself will not be saved. So, you have to first open the Paint app on your laptop.
  • Step 3: Now, just press Crtl and V. This will paste the image on the app's Canvas.
  • Step 4: Press the Ctrl and S keys. This will open a small window where you can select the location for the screenshot. Now, just click on "Save". Then you will get the screenshot in the same folder where you saved it.
